MDF Instruments® stethoscopes and reflex hammers have been handcrafted in the MDF® artisan tradition since 1971. Our stethoscopes (excluding the Singularis® line) have a Lifetime Warranty™. All MDF® Instruments sphygmomanometers have a Lifetime Calibration Warranty and 2-Year Warranty. All of our Reflex Hammers have a Lifetime Warranty™. MDF® product warranties are non-transferrable. See details below.
MDF® stethoscopes with defects in material or craftsmanship will be replaced or repaired without charge for the life of the instrument (excluding the Singularis® line). This warranty includes tubing. The Lifetime Warranty™ does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse or issues related to the appearance of the instrument, such as pen mark, and dye transfer from uniforms or bags. The Lifetime Warranty™ also does not cover damage to the instrument from alterations or additives, such as harsh chemical cleaners.
Due to limited quantities of each print, limited-edition (printed and glitter) stethoscope tubing may not be replaced with the same design or color. Mprint™ Collection Stethoscope warranty requests will be fulfilled at the discretion of MDF® Instruments.
The use of non-authorized third-party modification services is done at your own discretion and will void the MDF® Lifetime Warranty™. MDF® Instruments does not guarantee that the third party modifications will meet our requirements, be effective, accurate, or reliable.
Lifetime Warranty
The Lifetime Warranty covers the stethoscope and non-imprinted components, including the tubing, against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the instrument. If a manufacturing defect is found under normal use conditions, the defective component may be repaired or replaced at no charge. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, staining, discoloration, dye transfer from clothing or scrubs, damage caused by cleaning agents or chemicals, improper handling, accidents, misuse, theft, loss, disposal, or failure to follow care and operating instructions.
Mprint Limited Warranty
Mprint finishes, including clear coat, print, and glitter, are covered against manufacturing defects for 3 years from the original purchase date. This warranty applies only to defects in the application or manufacturing of the Mprint finish itself. It does not cover normal cosmetic wear, scratching, staining, fading, discoloration, dye transfer from clothing or scrubs, damage caused by cleaning agents or chemicals, abrasion, impact damage, improper handling, accidents, misuse, or other damage from regular use. Customers whose Mprint finish is no longer covered under warranty may be eligible for a discount toward a new Mprint order.
Please note: minor variation in print placement or seam alignment is considered a normal cosmetic characteristic of Mprint tubing and is not considered a manufacturing defect unless it materially affects product construction or function.
MDF® offers a Lifetime Calibration Warranty on aneroid sphygmomanometer gauges with defects in material or craftsmanship, to be replaced or repaired without charge. We also offer a 2-Year Warranty on MDF® Aneroid sphygmomanometers. The calibration warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper handling such as impact accidents, overinflation, failure to follow operating instructions, or alterations made to the device by third parties. Electronic blood pressure units are covered by a Two-Year Warranty against defects in material or craftsmanship.
MDF® reflex hammers come with a Lifetime Warranty™. Reflex hammers with defects in material or craftsmanship will be replaced or repaired without charge for the life of the instrument.
The MDF® 621 LUMiNiX® has a 2-Year Warranty and is warranted to be free from defects in material or craftsmanship. LUMiNiX® with defects in material or craftsmanship will be replaced or repaired without charge as long as the defect is reported within two years of the original purchase. The MDF® 611 LUMiNiX® II has a 1-Year Warranty and is warranted to be free from defects in material or craftsmanship. LUMiNiX® II with defects in material or craftsmanship will be replaced or repaired without charge as long as the defect is reported within one year of the original purchase.
MDF® Instruments Febris® Digital Thermometer has a 2-Year Warranty and is warranted to be free from defects in material or craftsmanship. MDF® Febris® Thermometers with defects in material or craftsmanship will be replaced or repaired without charge as long as the defect is reported within two years of the original purchase.
Free-Parts-For-Life™ and Lifetime Warranty™ shipments will be sent to the shipping address on the original order or location of purchase. If shipping country is different than the distribution center of the product, the replacement shipment will be sent within the country of the distribution center. MDF® Instruments will not be responsible to replace any item that was received using a third party shipping company to import into a country that does not have a distribution center containing that item. MDF® Instruments will not be responsible for shipping costs to replace any item in another location or country other than the original location. MDF® Instruments will not be responsible for any cost of shipping or import fees that exceeds the cost of the item.
If you have moved to another address or country other than the original shipping location, we will do our best to send Free-Parts-For-Life™ and Lifetime Warranty™ shipments from a designated distribution center or distributor. We have distribution centers in the USA, European Union, China and Japan. We have official MDF® Instruments distributors in over 80 countries.
