Sound Channel
We took the engineering principles used in concert halls and applied it to our stethoscopes. Flat walls create echoes which is why deeply cut baffles are used to reduce sound wave refraction. This is a very nice stethoscope. The colors are amazing and the sound is even better; it's so clear. I have 2 issues with this stethoscope. The first one is it's stiff; now this could be because it's new but it's aggravating and issue number 2 is the bell turns so easily. I absolutely hate this! When I am listening to breath sounds I need for the bell to stay put. It makes no sense it moves so easily...especially for the price. This is very disappointing.

While the sound is good as long as the bell is in the right position, the bell turns so easily that you continually have to check to make sure it is in the correct position. When placing in your ears and then in the process of placing the bell on the patient, the bell turns. It needs to take a little more effort to manipulate in the other position just like non MDF stethoscope. It becomes frustrating quickly.

I love the overall aesthetic of the my cardiology procardial stethoscope, BUT the function of it was off. My chest piece kept rotating. I love the chunky tubing but for some reason every time I am assessing my patient and I lay the chest piece on their chest the chest piece turns OFF and I can’t hear anything. I literally have to fight/hold down the chest piece to stop rotating. It’s soo annoying, especially when I have a patient just staring at me like because I am fighting with my stethoscope to hear my heart sounds. It’s not functional nor practical for me. I called and customer service was incredible. They offered to re-send me a new stethoscope. I hope that it was a defective piece and the new one is better. If not I’ll just have to send it back and purchase a littman
