Commitment to Global Health: Supporting the Mission in Guatemala
MDF Instruments is proud to highlight the positive impact of its recent donation to the UWM mission trip to Guatemala. The generous contribution of high-quality stethoscopes and blood pressure equipment has played a crucial role in enhancing maternal and infant healthcare in the region.
During the instruction period, midwives received this essential medical equipment, empowering them to monitor their patients throughout their pregnancies effectively. The feedback from these dedicated healthcare providers has been overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating the importance of reliable medical supplies in improving health outcomes for mothers and infants.
MDF Instruments understands the challenges faced by healthcare workers in underserved communities. This initiative not only equips midwives with the tools they need but also fosters a sense of empowerment and support for their vital work. The team will return to Guatemala in February for a follow-up, where they will assess the ongoing impact of the donated equipment and provide additional training, ensuring that these healthcare providers are fully equipped to offer the best care possible.
Looking ahead, MDF Instruments is excited about the upcoming mission to Thailand in January. There is an opportunity to contribute stethoscopes and blood pressure equipment once again to support the students in their training of rural health workers. This biannual trip is essential for optimizing healthcare within schools and communities. The donated medical supplies will remain with the healthcare workers after the training, allowing them to continue their important work long after their team departs.

Free Burma Rangers
The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) is a multi-ethnic humanitarian service movement. They bring help, hope and love to people in the war zones of Burma. Ethnic pro-democracy groups send teams to FBR to be trained, supplied and sent into the areas under attack to provide emergency medical care, shelter, food, clothing and human rights documentation.
